Mrs. Frances Young Hill, 95, died August 13, 2016, at Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 16th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Childs officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of the services. Mrs. Hill was born February 23, 1921, in the Mississippi Delta. She was a homemaker and a retired kindergarten teacher at First United Methodist Church, where she was a member. She was one of the founding members of the Louisville Pilot Club. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Hill; her parents, Emily and Q. C. Young; four sisters, Charlotte Webb, Jewell Hambree, Rose Mary Pearson, and Nancy Hanna; and a brother, Quintus Young. She is survived by a daughter, Lee-Ann (Bo) Denton of Meridian, MS; a sister, Bobbye Mills of Louisville; three grandchildren, Natalie (Larry) Swanner, Jessica (Jed) McCoy, and Madelyn Denton; three great grandchildren, Emma Kate, Tallyn, and McCartney; a very special friends and neighbors, Sylvia and Bobby Clark. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or French Camp Academy.
