Mr. Burgess Pearson Jackson, 83, died Sunday, July 17, 2016, at Winston Medical Center in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 19th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Bro. Ray Sullivan officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until the service time at the funeral home. Porter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Jackson was born December 27, 1932, in Louisville, MS. He was the owner of Jackson Auto & Marine for over 30 years, a member of Louisville Church of Christ, and served in The Army during The Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah Gregory Jackson and A.G. Jackson; one brother, Pete Jackson; and one great grandchild, Emery McCants. He is survived by his wife of almost 62 years, Gay Reynolds Jackson of Louisville; two daughters, Brenda Stokes of Louisville, and Debbie (Danny) Hall of Cookeville, TN; one brother, Lethal Jackson of Louisville; four grandchildren, Skye McCants, B.J. Sullivan, Steven Rogers, and Cory Hall; and five great grandchildren, Makenzi McCants, Addison McCants, Bella Sullivan, Ryker Sullivan, and Jax Rogers; his sister-in-law and her husband, Carol and Ron Lawson of Richmond, KY; and a host of nieces and nephews.
