Don Waldrop

Mr. Don Webb Waldrop, 72, died Thursday, December 3, 2015, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 6th, at Porter Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Interment will be in Murphy Creek Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Don was born October 3, 1943, in Meridian, MS. He was a graduate of East Central Community College and attended the University of Southern Mississippi. He worked in retail sales for many years, including Sears in Meridian, MS, owned his own bicycle shop in Fairhope, Alabama, and worked with Stevens Fine Jewelry and Western Auto in Louisville. He is survived by his wife, Barbara McKay Waldrop of Louisville; his mother, Minnie Laurie Webb Waldrop of Louisville; a daughter, Anna (Wes) Fentress of Brandon, MS; a son, David (Rachel) Waldrop of Sante Fe, NM; a sister, Beverly Carroll of Ruston, LA; and six grandchildren, Ava Waldrop, Evan Waldrop, Ariana Waldrop, Rush Fentress, Ian Fentress, and Tripp Fentress. Memorials may be made to Palmer Home for Children, Columbus, MS.
