Minnie McCleer

Mrs. Minnie Margarett McCleer, 69, died Friday, November 20, 2015, at her home in Pope, MS. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Monday, November 23rd, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Dutton officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 until the service time at the funeral home. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. McCleer was born July 27, 1946, in Johnson City, TN. She was a CNA at Winston County Nursing Home, and a member of Goodway Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gertrude Keplinger Privette and Dane Privette; two sisters, Kathy Holeman and Kay Privette; and one brother, Carroll Keplinger. She is survived by her husband, Thomas A. McCleer of Pope, MS; her daughter, Tina L. Cooley of Byhalia, MS; her sons, Thomas D. McCleer of Murphreesboro, TN, and James A. McCleer of Hernando, MS; two sisters, Linda Campbell of Graham, KY, and Doris Hinote of Houston, TX; two brothers, Danny Privette of Nashville, TN, and Timmy Privette of Cartersville, GA; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. Minnie never met a stranger, and loved anyone she came in contact with. Pallbearers will be Allen Reed, Michael Hill, Cully McCleer, Craig Cooley, Kevin Whitsell, and Dillion Davidson.
