Dan Knight

Mr. Martin Daniel “Dan” Knight, 78, died Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at his home in Saltillo, MS. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, September 25th, at Memorial Park Cemetery, with Rev. Charles Covington and Rev. Scott Phillips officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Knight was born September 12, 1937 in Noxubee County, MS. He retired after 39 years as a project manager for Taylor Machine Works. He was an Army Veteran, and a member of Gumtree Presbyterian Church in Tupelo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Katherine Daniel Knight and Martin Knight. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nancy Suttle Knight of Saltillo, MS; two daughters, Cindy Nabers (Jim) and Debbie Boyles, both of Louisville; a son, Samuel Knight (Katie) of Saltillo, MS; 9 grandchildren, Kiel Higginbotham (Lara), Delta Boyles, J.B. Boyles, Zach Boyles, Braeden Nabers, Bailey Wood, Tucker Knight, Asher Knight, and Mamie Frances Knight; and one great grandchild, Jett Higginbotham.
