Mrs. Juanice Shumaker Watson, 81, died Friday, September 18, 2015, at Atwood Personal Care Home in Noxapater, MS. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, Sept. 20th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Charles Rook and Rev. Mark Mayo officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until service time at Porter Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Watson was born on September 5, 1934, in Winston County, MS. She attended East Central Community College, and was retired as a line operator for TRW. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Glenn Watson; her parents, Houston and Inez Shumaker; a sister, Juanita Shumaker Jennings; two brothers, Prentiss Shumaker and Douglas Shumaker; and great granddaughter, Hatley Heard. She is survived by two daughters, Glynda (Joe) Lowrey of Louisville, and Missy (Todd) Vance of Flowood, MS; two brothers, Donald (Dale) Shumaker of McCool, MS, and Dwight (Frankie) Shumaker of Philadelphia, MS; four grandchildren, Joey (Joy) Lowrey, Jessica (Bradley) Heard, Jacob Lowrey, and Sarah Vance; great granddaughters, Matlyn Lowrey, Marley Lowrey, and Harper Heard; and two sisters-in-law, Charlene Shumaker and Carolyn Watson. Pallbearers are Reggie Shumaker, Tim Shumaker, Jason Wright, Tim Henry, Donnie Graham, Clark Graham, Matthew White, and Stan Johnson. Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church.
