Robert Bergman

Mr. Robert “Bob” Bergman, 74, died Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at his home in Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 19th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Jerry Lundy officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Porter Funeral Home. Interment will be in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. Bob was born July 20, 1940, in Geneva, New York. He was retired from financial security sales with Rauscher-Pierce-Refsnes, Inc. and was a corporal with the U. S. Marine Corp. He and his wife, Carolyn, spent many years in Dallas, TX, but moved to Louisville upon retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emeline and William Bergman. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Carolyn Myers Bergman of Louisville; two sisters, Pat Bergman of Geneva, NY, and Liz (Joe) Bynum of Las Vegas, NV; a brother, Michael Bergman of Los Angeles, CA; two sisters-in-law, Beverly Holdiness and Josie Myers, both of Louisville; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Sean Holdiness, Joe Bynum, Bradley King, Ben Cumberland, Cheston Jones, and Keith Myers. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
