Harold Robertson, 76, went to be with the Lord on June 18, 2015, at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS. He was surrounded by his loving family. A native of Louisville, MS, Harold was born on December 11, 1938 to Wilbur and Vera Stokes Robertson. Growing up in Louisville, Harold attended Nanih Waiya Attendance Center. After high school, Harold worked numerous jobs until finding his place in the early 1960’s, at Taylor Machine Works, stationed in Louisville. He began as a welder in the shop, and worked his way up to a service representative. Harold ultimately became a service engineer for the company, which allowed him to travel to all corners of the world to carry out his work. In fact, the only two places he never got to see while on this earth were Australia and Heaven. At least now, we know without a doubt he has made it to one of the two. Harold was very dedicated to Taylor Machine Works and its people. “Cat-Daddy”, as he was referred to by many of his co-workers, was named “Service Engineer of the Year”, not only once, but twice, in 1989 and 1992. Harold worked with the company for 53 years before going into retirement. After retiring, Harold took to a life of working on his tractor and tending to his farming land. He was a lifetime member of Vernon Assembly of God church, where he served as a Sunday School superintendent. He was also an active member of the Winstonville Lodge No. 277. Harold is survived by his daughter, Tracy Fortenberry of Hattiesburg, MS; his four grandchildren, Jason Greene and wife Wendy of Hattiesburg, Josh Greene and wife Kristina of Stateline, MS, Ashleigh Fortenberry and Tyler Fortenberry, both of Hattiesburg; his five great-grandchildren, who knew him as Pa Paw, Cali, Kyleigh, Cody, Cara, and Katelyn; his six siblings, Mavis Hanna and Maxine Robertson of Louisville, Marion Bateman of Louisville, Margie Gully of Rogers, AR, Junior Robertson of Louisville, and Bob Robertson of California; and his special friend and caregiver, Linda Mills.
