Mr. Wesley W. Garrard, 91, died Thursday, May 7, 2015, at Winston Medical Center in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 8th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Mark Mayo officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 9:30 AM until service time. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home of Louisville is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Garrard was born October 1, 1923, in Noxapater, MS. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He retired after 31 years as a welder at D & T Services/Taylor Machine Works. Wesley and his wife, Jessie, shared a love for camping and enjoyed many camping trips to the Great Smokey Mountains. After retirement, Wesley also enjoyed working with the local funeral homes. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Hutton Garrard; and a son, Wesley Allen Garrard; his parents, Josephine and John Weldon Garrard; two sisters, Inez Malone and Elnora Benson; and four brothers, Homer, Johnny, Luther, and Harvey Garrard. He is survived by two daughters, Patsy (Joe) Foster of Louisville, MS; and Pam (Danny) Kemp of Starkville, MS; two brothers, Willis Garrard of Vicksburg, MS, and Alvin Garrard of Carthage, MS; three grandchildren, Ginger (Josh) Ward, Angie (Taylor) Banks, and Daniel (Ana) Kemp; and three great grandchildren, Chandler Foster, Lilly Grace Kemp, and Luke Kemp. Pallbearers will be Daniel Kemp, Les Miles, Taylor Banks, Trent Brantley, Chandler Foster, and Josh Ward. Memorials may be made to Samaritan’s Purse, P. O.
