Zora Elizabeth "Liz" White

Mrs. Zora Elizabeth “Liz” White, 81, died January 25, 2015 at Lakeland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Porter Funeral Home. Interment will be in Murphy Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the service time at the funeral home. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. White was born January 22nd, 1934 in Lowndes County, MS. Before retiring, she was employed at Spartus, Walmart, and Fred’s; and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. White; her parents, Effie Pratt Hinkle and W.C. Hinkle; her sister, Sara Hines; and one brother, Jimmy Hinkle. Mrs. White is survived by one brother, Walter Hinkle of Gulfport, MS. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Wounded Warriors Project.
