Mrs. Annette Marie Avara Shotts, 85, died Monday, August 25, 2014, at her son’s home in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, August 27th, at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Rob Paul officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Porter Funeral Home. Mrs. Shotts was born August 11, 1929, in Louisville, MS. She was a homemaker and retired bookkeeper for Eastside Motors. She was a past president of Louisville Junior Auxiliary and a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Franklin Shotts; and her parents, Annie and W.C. Avara; and her brother and his wife, Don and Bette Avara. She is survived by two sons, Charles (Rhonda) Shotts, and Frankie (Sue) Shotts; three grandchildren, Jamie (Laura) Shotts, Ryan Shotts, and Jay Shotts; and one great grandchild, Jacey Shotts. Pallbearers are Jamie Shotts, Jay Shotts, Ryan Shotts, Jerry Estes, Thomas Cockrell, and Harry Tabor. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 547, Louisville, MS 39339.
