Iris L. Ford

Mrs. Iris Lapeyrouse Ford, 95, died Monday, July 28, 2014, at Winona Manor Nursing Home in Winona, MS. Private graveside services will be held at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery in Houma, LA. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Ford was born April 26, 1919, in Montague, LA, to Gustave and Mary Catherine Lapeyrouse. She was a former resident of Winston County Nursing Home, and was displaced by the April tornado. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Louisville, MS; and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by a son, William, Jr., her parents, brothers, and sisters. She was the widow of William Garland Ford. She is survived by her daughter, Melva (Joe) Turner, and her sons, James A. (Janice) Ford , Barry Ford, and Keith (JoAnn) Ford; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
