Mr. Reynolds Henderson, 76, died Friday, July 4, 2014, at Winston Medical Center in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, July 7th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Junior Davis and Rev. Mark Mayo officiating. Interment will be in Murphy Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Porter Funeral Home. Mr. Henderson was born November 2, 1937, in Richton, MS. He was a 1955 graduate of Louisville High School, and a 1960 graduate of Mississippi State University with a degree in Industrial Engineering. While at MSU, he was very active in the ROTC. He retired after 42 years as an engineer with Taylor Machine Works. He was a member of Murphy Creek Baptist Church. Reynolds is survived by his wife, Gail Reed Henderson of Louisville; a daughter, Daphne (Mark) Donald of Louisville; two sons, Brian Henderson of Louisville, and Mark (K-K) Henderson of Olive Branch, MS; a sister, Helen Partridge of Louisville; seven grandchildren, Jake (Jessica), Whitney, and Kyle Donald, and Graham, Brac, Judd, and Maggie Ruth Henderson; and two great grandchildren, Avery and Liam Donald. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stance and Ethel Henderson; and two brothers, Gene Henderson and Spurgeon Henderson. Pallbearers are Sean Johnson, Reed Jordan, Will Jordan, Greg Henderson, Joey Henderson, and Derek Henderson. Memorials may be made to Murphy Creek Cemetery Fund.
