Boyd Allen

Mr. James Boyd Allen, Jr, 49, died Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at the University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Saturday, June 21st, at Memorial Park Cemetery, with Rev. Mike Childs and Rev. Trent Bilbo officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Allen was born June 15, 1965, in Louisville, MS. He was a graduate of Noxapater High School, and Mississippi State University, where he majored in Business Administration. He was the owner of Earthworks Nursery, and a member of Noxapater Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Karen Hathorn Allen; his sons, Sam Allen and Max Allen; and his parents, Mary Alice McAdory Allen and James Boyd Allen, Sr., all of Noxapater, MS. He is also survived by his sister, Sue Ellen (Bert) Ellis of Madison, MS; and his nephews, Hayden and Spencer Ellis. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Louisville, P.O.
