Virginia Shackelford Fair

Mrs. Virginia S. Fair passed away on May 20, 2014, at the Golden Living Center in Carthage, MS. Mrs. Fair, who was born in Newton, MS, on October 11, 1921, was preceded in death by her parents, J. D. and Clay Overstreet Shackelford, her sister, Martha Elizabeth Goodrich, and husbands Thomas B. Miller and Frank L Fair, Sr.,, both of Louisville. She is survived by her son, Thomas D. Miller of Jackson, her sister, Jean S. Hendrix of Louisville, and many loving nieces and nephews and their children, and a large step-family, whom she loved as her own. She was a graduate of Louisville High School and Mississippi University for Women and was a long-standing member of the First Baptist Church of Louisville. Funeral services will be held at Porter Funeral Home in Louisville at 11:00 A. M. on Saturday, May 24, with visitation from 9:30 until 11:00.
