Peggy Jones Whitmire

Mrs. Peggy Jones Whitmire, 75, died Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 19th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Dr. Ladell Blanton and Rev. Trent Jaudon officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until service time Saturday. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.   Mrs. Whitmire was born February 21, 1939, in Scott County, MS. She was a homemaker, and a member of Harperville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald O. Whitmire; her parents, Susie Warren Jones, Carl Jones, five brothers, and two sisters.     She is survived by her daughters, Pat (Bubba) Warner of Louisville, MS, and Elizabeth (Michael) Blanton of Hattiesburg, MS; her brother, Bill (Peggy) Jones of Summit, MS; and her 4 grandchildren, Amy Warner, Dusty (Heather) Warner, Cody (Kayla) Warner, and Boyd Blanton.   Pallbearers will be Bubba Warner, Michael Blanton, Dusty Warner, Cody Warner, Robert Warner, and Lennie Fulton.
