Mrs. Bobbie Lee Whitehead, 81, died Friday, April 11, 2014, at Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 13th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Mason Joy and Rev. Jonathan Peeples officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Porter Funeral Home. Interment will be in Good Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Whitehead was born July 31, 1932, in Louisville, MS. She was a homemaker and a member of East Louisville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Albert “Bill” Whitehead; two brothers, Archie Edwards and Alvin Edwards; and six sisters, Mary Leon Schell, Pauline Chiles, Claudine Richardson, Walene Fortner, Jewell Miller, and Edna Pearl Oliver. She is survived by a daughter, Dale (Wayne) Joiner of Louisville; a son, Albert (Nell) Whitehead of Louisville; a brother, Billy Edwards of Louisville; four grandchildren, Bridgett Peeples, Michael Joiner, Alecia Holder, and Jonathan Whitehead; and seven great grandchildren.
