Rex Blair

Mr. James Rexford Blair, 66, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 21st, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Wayne Hill officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Whitehall Methodist Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.   Mr. Blair was born September 15, 1947, in Louisville, MS. He was a retired expeditor with Edwards Electric, and a member of Whitehall Methodist Church.     He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Carter and Beth Wall; and son James Blair, all of Louisville; sisters Jackie Ladd of Louisville, and Deborah Edmonds of Starkville; brother Douglas Blair of Louisville; and grandchildren, Jenna Whitman, Channing Wall, Kaden Stapleton, Jaden Blair, Tori Blair, Jamie Carter, Dalton Carter, and Caylee Carter.   He was preceded in death by his wife, Pattie Jean Blair; and his parents, Nannie Dempsey and Shelton Clyde Blair.   Pallbearers will be Dustin Ladd, Stephen Metts, Kevin Palmer, Stevie Ball, Chas Ball, and Ryan Egger.   Memorials may be made to Porter Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
