Charles Gully

September 26, 1931 — March 13, 2014

Mr. Charles Randolph Gully, 82, died Thursday, March 13, 2014, at Winston Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 16th, at 4:00 P.M. at First United Methodist Church in Louisville, with Rev. Mike Childs officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. until service time at the church. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.   Mr. Gully was born September 26, 1931, in Louisville, MS. He was a retired electrical superintendent for Georgia Pacific, a member of First United Methodist Church, and a Veteran of The U.S. Army serving in The Korean Conflict. Mr. Gully was also a retired Chairman of the Louisville Utility Board. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eloise Gully; his parents, Ludie Fulton and John Gully; and two brothers, John Henry Gully and Jimmy Gully.   Mr. Gully is survived by his daughters, Janet (Jim) House of Jackson, MS and Beth (Barton) Wynn of Tupelo, MS; his son, Brooks (Melanie) Gully of Starkville, MS; one sister, Jaynne Perkins of Brandon, MS; one brother, J.W. Gully of Houston, TX; and 8 Grandchildren, Laura, Bob, and Helen House; Chase, Daniel (Virginia), and Kathryn Wynn; Anna Rives and Audrey Gully. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.   Pallbearers will be David Gully, Mark Gully, Kevin Gully, Wayne Perkins, Wilson Webb, and Jody Fulton.   Charles loved Mississippi State sports, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his family, community, and friends, and will be greatly missed. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Louisville, MS.
