Rev. Rayburn G. Druey, 72, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at his home in the Butler community. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 8th, at Butler Pentecostal Church, with Rev. Bert Jones, Rev. Andy Haynes, Rev. Charles Bosarge, Rev. Mike White, Rev. Allen Eaves, Rev. Bobby Dudeck, and Rev. Sammy Worley officiating. Interment will be in Newton County Memorial Gardens in Newton, MS. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Butler Pentecostal Church. Rev. Druey was born November 2, 1941, in Yazoo City, MS. He was the pastor at Butler Pentecostal Church for many years, and had pastored churches in Mississippi, Alabama, and Missouri. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Druey; his parents, Vera & Milton Druey; and a sister, Gertrude German. He is survived by his son, Bruce Druey, and his wife, Jennifer, of Preston, MS; a granddaughter, Anna Claire Druey; a sister, Diane Holmes of Moss Point, MS; and a brother, Richard Druey of Moss Point, MS. Pallbearers will be Robert Jones, Peyton Jones, Brady Jones, Cheston Jones, Grant Jones, and Josh Pilgrim. Honorary pallbearers will be Willis Jones, Dan Eaves, Clyde Eaves, Ralph Justice, Phillip Eaves, Dale Dickerson, Todd Eaves, Kenny Lowery, Bill Jones, Ricky Foster, Duane McDaniel, Josh Hailey, and Daniel Pilgrim.
