Mrs. Mamie E. Kugle, 96, went to be with the Lord January 28, 2014. She was born Mamie Elizabeth Hodges in Choctaw County, MS, on August 16, 1917, to Mary Jane Walker and Thomas Randolph Hodges. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fancher Medders in 1949, and her husband Jessie Kugle in 1983. She is survived by her children, Ann Woleslagle, Harold (Elewese) Medders, and Wayne (Judy) Medders. She is survived by six grandchildren: Linda (Richard) Visman, Lisa (Thad) Rickerson, Harold (Pam) Medders, Jr., Wendy (Paul) Smith, Shawn (Elisa) Medders, Crystal (Jeff) Lewis. She is survived by ten great grandchildren: Lauren (Michael) Merriam, Joshua (Aubree) Rickerson, Clayton and Davis Visman, Brandy Medders, Christopher Smith, Cash Medders, Landon, Lane, and Layton Lewis. Mrs. Kugle is survived by two great great grandchildren, Ella and John Merriam. Mrs. Kugle has been a faithful member of Concord Baptist Church since 1949 where she has served throughout the years in various areas. She worked many years at the school cafeteria in Louisville, MS, and later as a retail sales clerk in Medders Dept. Store in Ackerman. Mrs. Kugle enjoyed gardening and was a great cook. Visitation will be at 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Porter Funeral Home, 302 West Park Street, Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with burial at Bethsalem Cemetery in the Highpoint Community in Winston County.
