Rev. Travis A. Reed

Rev. Travis A. Reed, 87, died Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 30th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Greg DePriest, Rev. Matt Moehring, and Rev. Lane Busby officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:30 AM until service time. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Reed was born May 16, 1926, in Louisville, MS. He was a retired minister, and an Air Force veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by a son, Adron Reed. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Parker Reed of Louisville; a son, Tim (Tracy) Reed of Birch Tree, MO; a daughter, Doris (Ed) Christopher of Palm Coast, FL; a brother, Elton Reed of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; 3 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
