Lessie Palmer Reed

Mrs. Lessie Palmer Reed, 92, died Monday, December 23, 2013, at Brandon Nursing and Rehab in Brandon, MS. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 24th, at Harmony Baptist Church, with Rev. Jerry Lundy officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Harmony Baptist Church. Interment will be in Harmony Baptist Cemetery. Mrs. Reed was born November 7, 1921, in Winston County. She was a homemaker and a retired employee of Noxapater Glove Factory. She was preceded in death by husband, Victor Reed; and her parents, Zonie Arrington and Carlos A. Palmer. She is survived by two daughters, Madelon Gruich of Gulfport, MS, and Avis Prisock of Byram, MS; one sister, Hazel Kemp of Louisville; 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 1 step great grandchild, and 1 step great great grandchild. Pallbearers will be Jason Gruich, Chris Gruich, Philip Gruich, Terry Kemp, Danny Kemp, and Corey Jackson.
