Helen Rives Jones

Mrs. Helen Rives Jones, 89, died Friday, December 20, 2013, at Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 22nd, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Billy Bowie officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 PM until service time at Porter Funeral Home. Mrs. Jones was born September 14, 1924, in Winston County, MS. She and her husband, Dorris Jones, owned and operated Jones Men’s Wear in Louisville for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church, and was an avid bridge player. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dorris Jones; her son, David Rives Jones; her parents, Willie Mae Dawkins and Edwin Rives; her brother, Brooks Rives; and her sister, Eloise Gully. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Charles Gully; and nieces and nephew, Brook Gully, Beth Gully Wynn, and Janet Gully House. Memorial may be made to First Baptist Church, P. O.
