Mr. Walton Herman Fulton, 104, died Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at Winston Medical Center in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 22nd, at Rocky Hill United Methodist Church, with Rev. Larry Haggard officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Porter Funeral Home, and Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Rocky Hill United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Rocky Hill Cemetery. Mr. Fulton was born July 25, 1909, in Winston County. He was a 1927 graduate of Noxapater Agricultural High School and attended Mississippi State University. He was a retired farmer and car salesman, having owned and operated Fulton Motors in Louisville. He was an avid Mississippi State fan and was a member of the Bulldog Club. In 2012, on his 103rd birthday, Mr. Fulton was given the "Eminent Bulldog" award by President Mark Keenum, in recognition of a lifetime of outstanding loyalty and achievements that set an example of excellence for all fellow alumni of Mississippi State University. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Fulton was a very active and dedicated member of Rocky Hill United Methodist Church, where he served in many capacities and where he gave of his time, his energy, his physical resources, and his abundant spirit for the growth and development of the ministry of Rocky Hill Methodist Church. Mr. Fulton was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Marguerite Fulton, who he married in October, 1937; his parents, Ida Price and Charles Dillard Fulton; three sisters, Myrtis Fulton Hancock, Mildred Fulton Crowell, and Elsie Fulton Clark; and four brothers, Lee Fulton, Julian Fulton, Truman, and Hammon Fulton. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Gay of Louisville; two grandchildren, Hugh (Angela) Gay, and Mary Margaret (Josh) Crowson; and two great grandchildren, Morgan Breighanne Gay and Cara Grace Crowson.
