Mr. Cecil Jennings, 92, died Saturday, November 2, 2013, at his son’s home in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, November 4th, at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Jimmy Porter officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and again Monday from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the church. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Jennings was born October 7, 1921, in Louisville, MS. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Mr. Jennings spent 32 years in law enforcement, serving as an ABC Agent, a city police officer, a deputy sheriff, and then Winston County Sheriff for 12 years. Mr. Jennings was also a charter member of Dancing Rabbit Hunting Club, and a faithful member of The Wrinkled Roosters. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Burns Jennings; his daughter, Patricia Egger; one sister, Dorothy Jennings Goss; and three brothers, Oralee Jennings, Marvin Jennings, and Rayford Jennings. He is survived by his son, T.J. (Birdie) Jennings; three grandchildren, Ryan Egger, Heather (Kyle) Fulton, Brandon (Ashton) Jennings; five great grandchildren, Jennings Fulton, Landon Fulton, Colt Fulton, Harley Grace Egger, and Easton Jennings; one sister, Bessie Fay Marshall; and one brother, Chuck Jennings;.
