Annie C. Cockrell

Mrs. Annie Catherine Crick Cockrell, 82, died Monday, September 30, 2013, at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 3rd, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Mason Joy officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00 PM until service time at Porter Funeral Home. Mrs. Cockrell was born March 29, 1931, in Reform, MS. She was a retired respiratory therapist at Winston Medical Center, and was a member of East Louisville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Cockrell; her parents, Rowena and E. Z. Crick; a sister, Jacqueline Atkinson; and a brother, Gid Crick. She is survived by two daughters, Melisa (Roy Dale) Fulton of Louisville, and Melanie (Cecil) Price of Louisville; three sons, Wayne (Annette) Cockrell of Hastings, Nebraska, Joel (Daphne) Cockrell of Louisville, and Wendell (Mary Lena) Cockrell of Perry, GA; 14 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
