Mr. Oran Frazier, 85, died Saturday, July 6, 2013, at his home in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 9th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Justin Wilcher and Rev. Charles Davis officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Porter Funeral Home. Mr. Frazier was born February 24, 1928, in Louisville, MS. He was a graduate of East Central Community College, and was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church, where he served as Sunday School director and Men's II Sunday School teacher. He served in the military for 23 years, having served in the Army during the Korean conflict, and was retired as Sr. Master Sergeant from the Air Force, where he served in Vietnam. Oran loved the outdoors and was a Master Gardener and avid hunter. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Odell Collier Frazier of Louisville; two daughters, Pam (Craig) Foster of Louisville, and Patty (Matt) Jensen of Madison, MS; two sons, Dr. Steve Frazier of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Alan Frazier of Anchorage, Alaska; a sister, Barbara Nemitz of Pascagoula, MS; seven grandchildren, Jason Walton, Laura Maxcy, Phillip Foster, Chris Joiner, Kimberly Rogers, Ross Jensen, and James Frazier; and three great grandchildren, Carson Joiner, Wren Rogers, and Lily Walton. Memorials may be made to Evergreen Cemetery Fund, or the charity of your choice.
