Mrs. Maggie Hope Chaney, 85, died Monday, April 15, 2013, at her home in Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 18th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Childs officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00 AM until service time at Porter Funeral Home. Mrs. Chaney was born January 14, 1928, in Louisville, MS. She was a homemaker, and a member of First United Methodist Church. She was an avid bridge player and played with her bridge club for over 55 years. She loved working in her yard, and her grandchildren were the light of her life. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Charles Chaney of Louisville; a son, Jimmy (Brenda) Chaney of Brandon, MS; two daughters, Hope (Matt) Wesson of Tupelo, and Suzanne (John Taylor) Paschal of Louisville; eight grandchildren: Margaret (Rob) Eshleman, Betsy Wesson, Matthew Wesson, Brad (Danielle) Chaney, Kendall Chaney, Taylor (Candice) Paschal, Chaney Paschal, and Cameron Paschal , and four great grandchildren, Kinley & August Paschal, and Eden & Maggie Polk. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Louisville; or French Camp Academy.
