On March 23, 2013, our Awesome God reached down and carried Cindy Haggard to her heavenly home, and she said hello to her parents, Harvey and Maggie Sellers Haggard. She had recently celebrated her sixtieth birthday. Cindy had a smile and special greeting for everyone she met, and her personality drew you close to her and made you feel good to be in her presence. She loved everyone equally. Cindy was also preceded in death by a sister, Kathryn; brother-in-law, J. D. Pugh; a niece, Rhonda Bolin; great-niece, Caitlin Weber; and her dog, Penny. Cindy attended the Boswell Learning Center at Magee, where she learned to read and write. Later she made her home at the Louisville Group Home and was employed at the Industrial Park Center. For the past three years, she has been a resident at the Winston County Nursing Home. Some of her favorite hobbies were coloring, embroidering, painting, and singing. Cindy is survived by three sisters, Jane (Carl) Baggett of St. Louis, MO, Caroline Pugh of Tupelo, and Judy (Wayne) Bolin in Brooksville; a brother, J. D. (Annette) Haggard of Parsons, TN; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 27th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Billy Bowie officiating. Interment will be in Ellison Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Carl Baggett, Jr., Printz Bolin, Jim Haggard, Don Pugh, Rusty Pugh, and Jack Rauenhorst. Our family would like to thank the staffs of Louisville Group Home, the Winston County Nursing Home, and members of First Baptist Church-Louisville for their love and kindness toward Cindy. May God bless each of you in a special way. Memorials may be made to the Mississippi Baptist Children’s Village, c/o Brooksville Baptist Church, P. O. Box 52, Brooksville, MS, 39379.
