Christine Presley

Mrs. Christine Jones Presley, 78, died Monday, January 7, 2013, at her home in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 10th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Trent Jaudon and Rev. Jason Gross officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Mrs. Presley was born July 19, 1934, in Philadelphia, MS. She was a homemaker and a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Liddie Irons and Hubert Jones; three sisters, Kathleen Brantley, Martha Murphy, and Molly Jones; and two brothers, Wilbert Jones, and Mitchell Jones. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Sherman Presley of Louisville, MS; one daughter, Linda (Terry) Holder of Louisville, MS; two sons, Ron (Cindy) Presley of New Hebron, MS, and Don (Nancy) Presley of Baldwyn, MS; one sister, Shirley Little of Madison, MS; four brothers, Walter Jones of Philadelphia, MS, Bobby Jones of Florence, MS, Calvin Jones of Milton, NY, and Jerry Jones of Ocean City, MD; five grandchildren, Allison Caston, Amy Treon, Stephanie Fuller, Mary Presley, and Alexandria Presley; and one great grandchild, Ava Caston. Pallbearers will be Bill Nance, Scotty Nance, Woody Nance, Johnny Fanning, Dr. Harry Cosby, and Ed Gresham.
