Miss Bobbie Dean Shaw, 82, died Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 30th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Stacy Parvin officiating. Interment will be in New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 PM until service time at Porter Funeral Home. Mrs. Shaw was born September 20, 1930, in Winston County, MS. She was a graduate of Bond High School, the University of Southern Mississippi, and received her Masters degree in Education from the University of Mississippi. She was a school teacher in Meridian for many years, and was a reading specialist for the Meridian Public School System. She later taught at Winston Academy and in the Louisville Public School Systems. She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucy and C. H. Shaw; and six brothers and sisters, Charles H. Shaw, Jr, Thomas Addison Shaw, Charmie Shaw, Elise Shaw Easley, Paul Gene Shaw, and Diane Shaw. She is survived by three sisters, Shirley (Jim) Dawson of Houston, TX, Etheleen Shattles of Richton, MS, and Charlene (Miles) McNeill of , Killeen, Texas; and three brothers, Clifton Houston “Billy” Shaw of Philadelphia, MS, Samuel David (Doris) Shaw of Bell, TN, and James Bruce (Faye) Shaw of Louisville, MS. Pallbearers are Charles H. Shaw, III, Vince Shattles, Stanley Shaw, Logan Bradford, Addison Shattles, and Matthew Richardson.
