Mr. Berlin Thomas Rogers, 80, died Sunday, December 16, 2012, at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital in Kosciusko, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 18th, at Bethel Baptist Church, with Rev. David Keen officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the church. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Rogers was born August 3, 1932, in Winston County, Mississippi. He was an Army Veteran of The Korean War, and retired from the Army as a Major. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was also a teacher for 32 years in the Louisville School District, where he taught Biology, Driver Training, and was also a Guidance Counselor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred Whitehead and John Walter Rogers; his son, John Thomas Rogers; a great grandson, Brandon Thomas McKinley; and four brothers, Bobby Rogers, Benny Roy Rogers, Bernice Rogers, and Buster Rogers. Mr. Rogers is survived by his wife of 61 years, Minnie Clara Eaves Rogers; three daughters, Kathy (Joe) Hodge, Sharon (Tommy) McKinley, and Donna Sinclair, all of Louisville, MS; 12 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
