Mrs. Mary Clyde Edmonds, 94, died Thursday, April 5, 2012, at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 7th, at New Hope Baptist Church in Longview, with Rev. Frankie Tomlinson officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Porter Funeral home, and on Saturday at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Craig Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Edmonds was born April 2nd, 1918 in Louisville, MS. She was a 1932 graduate of Louisville High School, retired supervisor for Garan Inc., and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Glen George Edmonds, and Jerry (Katie) Edmonds, both of Starkville; one sister, Naomi Ming of Louisville; 4 grandchildren, Jennifer Garner, Amber Williamson, Randi Woods, and Jorga Wilson; and 2 great grandchildren, Trey Williamson and Brayleigh Williamson. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Wise Jackson and Archie Lee Edmonds, her parents, Floyd Hamill and Lucy Wicker, one daughter, Mary Lee Farley, one sister, Camillia Stokes, one brother, George Hamill, and one grandson, Mike Edmonds.
