Shirley Speir Lee

Mrs. Shirley Faith Lee, 95, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at Hattiesburg Health and Rehab in Hattiesburg. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 8th at 11:00 A.M. at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Dwayne Mayo and Rev. Carrie Mayo officiating. Interment will be in Craig Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:30 A.M. until service time at Porter Funeral Home. Mrs. Lee was born October 23, 1916, in Sturgis, MS. She was a homemaker and worked as a medical clerk at the Mississippi State Penitentiary at Parchman. She was a member of Wes Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eckford Lee; and her parents, Jenny Jackson and Robert Speir. Mrs. Lee is survived by two sons, William (Colleen) Lee and Charles (Ann ) Lee, both of Brandon, MS; two sisters, Chaney Holman of Sturgis, MS, and Cubelle Killman of Johnson City, TN; three grandchildren, Amy L. Topik, Ben Lee, and Jennifer Robinson; and two great grandchildren, John David Topik and Mary Lee Topik. Pallbearers will be Dwayne Ray, Harold Yarbrough, Bill Lindsey, Ben Lee, Derek Topik, and Brent Robinson. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
