Jerry "Red" Taylor

Mr. Jerry “Red” Taylor, 67, died Monday, February 27, 2012, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 29th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Rob Faulk and Rev. Larry Haggard officiating. Interment will be in East County Line Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Porter Funeral Home. Mr. Taylor was born January 3, 1945, in Louisville, MS. He was in the construction industry, and was a member of South Louisville Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Monica Taylor of Louisville; his mother, Arrietta Taylor of McCool, MS; three daughters, Honey Taylor of Louisville, Angel (Eric) Whitehead of Louisville, and Lesley (Robert) Utz of Kosciusko, MS; brother, Roger (Phyllis) Gillett of Louisville; two sisters, Janette Nelson of Brandon, MS, and Joanne (Lanoy) Adcock of Philadelphia; and two grandchildren, Anna Grace Whitehead and Taylor Luke Whitehead; and a host of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
