Ruth Allen Miller

Mrs. Ruth Allen Miller, 87, died Sunday, January 29, 2012, at Winston Medical Center in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 31st, at First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Mike Childs officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Porter Funeral Home. Mrs. Miller was born May 5, 1924, in Louisville, MS. She was a retired bookkeeper for the Winston County Welfare Department. For many years, she managed the Christian Friends Thrift Store. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Margaret Cheryl (D. A.) Richardson of Calhoun, GA; son, Richard Allen Miller of Louisville; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Stokes; sister, Nelda Thornburg of Mobile, AL; 4 grandchildren, Clarissa (Keith) Flake, Andrew (Angie) Miller, Megan Miller (Mantrell Ashford), and Caroline (Nick) Cochran; and 10 great grandchildren, Tyler Flake, Taylor Flake, Will Miller, Jake Miller, Charleigh, Kingsley, McCohen Cochran, Jett Cochran, Hunter, and Taylor.
