Doris M. Suber

Mrs. Doris M. Suber, 90, died Saturday, December 24, 2011, in Beaufort, SC. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at Porter Funeral Home, with Dr. Brett Golson officiating. Interment will be in Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 AM until service time at Porter Funeral Home. Mrs. Suber was born December 6, 1921. She was the librarian at the Winston County Library for 27 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry L. Suber; her parents, Maggie Taylor and William P. McGee; and a sister, Earleen McGee Kemp. She is survived by two daughters, Margaret (Steve) Ouzts of Newburyport, MA; and Martha (John) Fawcett of Ladys Island, SC; six grandchildren, John R. Fawcett, IV, Caroline McGee Ouzts-Hay, Margaret A. Fawcett-DuRant, Patricia Kelly Fawcett Wilson, M. Amelia Suber Ouzts, and Olivia Katherine Fawcett; and five great grandchildren, Isabelle Fawcett, Kaydence Hay, William DuRant, Elizabeth Hay, and Caroline duRant.
