Corrie Lee Brown, 97, died in her home on December 6, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, T.Z. Brown, son and daughter-in-law Tommy and Joan Brown, parents Jimmy T. and Allye Ingram, brothers Jack Ingram, James Ingram, sisters Eva Mae Oxford and Ruby Ingram. She is survived by her two grandchildren, Susan Leigh Brown Brewer (Brett) and James Brown (Christy), both of Memphis, TN, five great grandchildren, Blaine, Bailey, and Brogan Brewer, Hudson, and Logan Brown, nieces and nephews, and her faithful cat Demon. The family thanks her loving and devoted caregivers, Ruthie George, June Frazier, Iona Ray, Sherry Clark, Joanne Humphrees, Mable Higgason, Shelby Jean and Nathan Boydston, Gay Aman, Doris King, Libby Farish, Mary Veazey, and Quality Hospice Care. Her quick wit and young at heart personality made her a joy to all who knew her. She enjoyed baking, reading, gospel music, and visiting with her family and friends. In her earlier years, she was an active member of the First Baptist Church. She was co-owner and bookkeeper for Brown Machinery Service. She also was the bookkeeper for Tillman Drugs for many years. Funeral Services will be at 11:30am on Saturday, December 10th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Chris Vowell officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
