Hixie H. Clark

Mrs. Hixie Maria Hall Clark, 89, died Monday, November 14, 2011, at Louisville Healthcare. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 17th, at 11:00 A.M. at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. David Keen officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Porter Funeral Home. Mrs. Clark was born June 1, 1922, in Mooreville, MS. She was a homemaker, and a member of Poplar Flat Baptist Church, where she played the organ and piano for 37 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. “Bob” Clark. She is survived by a daughter, Lady Gillis of Louisville; four sons, Anthony Clark, Wayne Clark, and Danny Clark, all of Louisville, and Scotty Clark of Brandon, MS; a sister, Helen Deweese of Hendersonville, TN; a brother, Murray Hall of Louisville; 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren. Pallbearers are Tommy Clark, Justin Clark, Robert Gillis, Ben Clark, Russ Clark, Walt Clark, Jason Clark, and Josh Clark. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assn, P. O.
