Mr. Pharris Lee “Jack” Cockrell, 80, died Friday, October 7, 2011, at his home in Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 9th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Mason Joy officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday at 1:00 P.M. until service time at Porter Funeral Home. Mr. Cockrell was born in November 29, 1930, in Louisville, MS. He was retired from the lawn service business. He was a Mason, an Army veteran, and a member of East Louisville Baptist Church. He also worked with the Louisville Police Department and the Winston County Sheriff’s Department. He is survived by his wife, Annie C. Cockrell of Louisville; two daughters, Melisa (Roy Dale) Fulton and Melanie (Cecil) Price, both of Louisville; three sons, Wayne (Annette) Cockrell of Hastings, Nebraska , Joel (Daphne) Cockrell of Louisville , and Wendell (Mary Lena) Cockrell of Perry , GA; 14 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
