Terry Gene Palmer

Mr. Terry Gene Palmer, 57, died Monday, October 3, 2011, at his home in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, Oct. 5th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. David Keen officiating. Interment will be in Ellison Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Porter Funeral Home. Mr. Palmer was born May 3, 1954, in Louisville, MS. He was a 1972 graduate of Nanih Waiya High School. He was the meat market manager at Piggly Wiggly for many years, and worked at Vowell’s Marketplace. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgia Arrington and Kerney Palmer. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Ann Puckett Palmer of Louisville; a daughter, Lori (Shawn) White of Louisville; a granddaughter, Isabella Grace White; two sisters, Patricia Ann Gregory and Betty Fay Smith, both of Brandon, MS; and a brother, Karith Palmer of Baton Rouge, LA. Pallbearers are Mark Sullivan, Clifford "Peewee" Stokes, Bradley White, Duane Culpepper, Robert Childs, Ken Murphy, and Odie Keen. Honorary pallbearers are John Puckett, Jr., Steven W. Puckett, Joe Puckett, Jimmy Puckett, and Donnie Gregory. Memorials may be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
