Mr. Clarence M. Nichols, 85, died Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at the V. A. Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 13th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Ricky McKay officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Nichols was born July 24, 1926, in Winston County, MS. He was an Army veteran of World War II, and was a retired brick mason. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Blaine Nichols of Louisville; two daughters, Linda (Steve) White of Rolling Fork, MS, and Tonya (Keith) White of Louisville; a son, Eddie (Alicison) Nichols of Louisville; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be James Nichols, Josh Nichols, Craig Nichols, Kiley White, Bobby Yates, and Lonnie Wright. Honorary pallbearers will be Kacey Sloan, Barry Sloan, Blaine Peters, and Kile White.
