Mr. Samuel E. Fulton, 82, died Monday, May 23, 2011, at the V A Nursing Home in Kosciusko, MS. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 25th, at Rocky Hill United Methodist Church, with Rev. Larry Haggard and Rev. Claude Fleming officiating. Interment will be in Rocky Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Fulton was born March 7, 1929, in Winston County, MS. He was a farmer and a member of Rocky Hill United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Louisville High School, and attended East Central Community College, where he played football. He received a degree in agriculture from Mississippi State University, and was retired from The Army National Guard. He was on the Board of Directors for Farm Bureau, First United Bank, Bancorpsouth, and Winston County Medical Center. He was an avid fisherman and camper. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peggy Garrigues and Nolen Wayne Fulton; and three brothers, William A. Fulton, Dr. Nolen Fulton, and Paul Fulton. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Bonnie Byrd Fulton of Louisville; three daughters, Jean F. Pointon, M.D. of Tuscaloosa, AL, Peggy F. Cassell of Louisville, and Sammie Fulton of Louisville; and nine grandchildren, Kim Keeney, Garland Shurden, Stephanie Gleason, Jolene Gleason, Joshua Cassell, Anessa Cassell, Stephen Cassell, Samuel Pointon, and Brett Hasty. Pallbearers will be Robert Garrigues, Tony Fulton, Carol White, Larry Fulton, Harry Fulton, Jerry Lousteau, Joe Clark, and Garland Shurden.
