Byron F. Barnes

Mr. Byron Fenwick Barnes, 55, died Sunday, March 13, 2011, at his home in Noxapater, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 18th, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Noxapater, with Rev. James Dearing officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Mr. Barnes was born November 24, 1955, in Louisville, MS. He was a dryer feeder for Georgia Pacific, and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Breck Barnes and Martha McAdory. He is survived by his step-father, John Standrod of Noxapater; three daughters, Abby Barnes of Louisville, MS, Lindsey Buchanan of Pensacola, FL, and Amy Combs of Fort Benning, GA; two half brothers, Mark Standrod of Jupiter, FL, and John Lindsey of Noxapater. Pallbearers will be Devon Thomas, Charles Thomas, Kenneth Franklin, J.W. Thomas, Jerry Barnett, and Ivan Reynolds. Memorials may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church, RR 1 Box 291, Noxapater, MS 39346.
