Martha Woodward Daly

July 4, 1929 — January 12, 2011

Mrs. Martha Woodward Daly, 81, died Wednesday, January 12th, 2011, at Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, Jan. 15th, at Louisville Presbyterian Church, with Minister Nathan Eldridge officiating. Interment will be in Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time at the church. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Daly was born July 4, 1929, in Louisville, MS. She was retired personnel director of Spartus Corp, and was a member of Louisville Presbyterian Church. She was an avid supporter of Mississippi State University sports, and loved animals, especially her dogs. She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Ettie Mae Woodward, and two brothers, David Woodward and Roland Woodward. She is survived by her husband, Rudy Daly of Louisville; a sister, Sue (Ralph) Walker of Lenexa, KS; a brother, Johnny (Barbara) Woodward of Louisville, MS; nephews, Wade Woodward, Mark Woodward, Scott (Sarah) Woodward, John Woodward, Dr. Davis (Haley) Woodward, Dr. Doug (Angelia) Woodward; and nieces, Wanda (Steve) New, Martha Claire Woodward, and Karen Blatchford. Pallbearers are John Woodward, Dr. Davis Woodward, Dr. Doug Woodward, Mark Woodward, Wade Woodward, Scott Woodward, and Pat Daly. Special thanks to the angels of mercy at Quality Healthcare in Philadelphia, MS. Sylvia, Melissa, & Rita, you were truly wonderful to us all. Dr. Clay, Vicky, Carrie, & all the staff at Meridian Oncology, we will never forget your loving care. In leiu of flowers, memorials may be made to Louisville Presbyterian Church, or Quaility Hospice, 340 Byrd Ave., Philadelphia, MS, 39350.
