A l Porter is a native of Lexington, MS, and moved to Louisville in 1978. He has been in the funeral business since that time. Al holds a B.S. degree from Mississippi State University, and a Mortuary Science degree from East Mississippi Community College. He is licensed in funeral service and embalming. Al is a member of First United Methodist Church, where he has served in many leadership positions. He is active in the Louisville Rotary Club, the Louisville Businessmen's Club, and the National Wild Turkey Federation. He is married to the former Rhonda Bookout, and they have three daughters: Sally, Mary Claire, and Olivia.
